There’s an interesting dichotomy of thought when speaking with someone in their 50s versus someone in their 30s when it comes to how they measure success. It used to be that terms like “childless,” “single,” “renter,” “freelancer,” or “entrepreneur” were synonymous with failure. Today, I think most youngish people (at 33, I find it hard to call myself young…but I’m still definitely in the vicinity of young) wear those labels as badges of honor (at least they would if they didn’t hate being labeled). Of course, it was our parents’ generation that planted these seeds of creative individualism…we’re just the fully realized versions.

The only point I take slight umbrage with is why does the “scenic route” have to end? Didn’t some smart person once state that the “journey is the destination”? That’s the road I want to be on…skipping all the off ramps along the way.

Well I shared some of these pict’s to see if any of my frnds got offended and a couple said is that a friggen churro in her mouth? too funny to me, but anyways like I said before I don’t get easily offended, but try to go with dark colors not bright!! Hey you guys need help I can help I still have frnds that are in that mentality, lol!! Although I’m still considered a chola I don’t like it but hey to each it’s own!!!!

I don’t know I don’t get easily offended I’m from L.A. county the only thing I can say to ladygunn is the next time you want to dress someone as a real chola or gang member get a real chola or gangmember to dress them the make up is really nice I still put my make-up with the outer dark lipliner but the colors to the clothe’s , come on the only colors cholas wear or used to wear are black, gray, blue, white, beige, brown, we didn’t wear all them colors, I am in my 40′s like I said I’m not easily offended anymore, but gang life is not fun it’s true it’s very violent nothing to be proud of unless your still in that mentality but hey to each it’s own, But if your going to do something go all the way and do it the right way or don’t do it because you’ll get this reaction (negative) and make them all mexican, or latina’s!!! Everyone seems to want to glamourise everyting even pregnancy, come on pple its not fun to be in gangs or to have children at an early age or to go to jail for the rest of your life for commiting crimes, it’s just not something to glamourise and I hope I don’t offend anyone!
