A Spring collection inspired by debauchery, pinup girls and working-class uniforms seems out of place in the penthouse of the plaza hotel, but here we are. After all, there is a bathtub full of Champagne. Eric Schlosberg describes the heroine of his Spring ’18 collection as, “the slutty girl at the bar who, after she seduces you, steals your wallet”.  That is until he elaborates.

This season is inspired by everyone’s favorite Baywatch babe, Pamela Anderson. Reinterpreting some of her most iconic looks, seeking to capture a wet hot American summer road tripping across the desert. One of the stand out’s is a reference to her 1999 VMA’s look. Both the fluffy “pimp hat” and the corset made an appearance.

Eric made a point of saying that he chose materials that appear to constrict but are actually very soft. The wife-beater gown is a perfect example. Eric sites Christina Ricci’s cropped biker tee and white panties in Black Snake Moan as inspiration for his key look.

And for the first time, Eric provides Tommy, Pam’s then-boyfriend with a wardrobe as well. His first foray into menswear is very well received. His male model prances around the penthouse suite in looks including an embellished scarf halter top and flared long-johns. Eric’s combination of high-low is the taste of sin we will all be looking for this spring.
