What are the plans for the future? We are working on a new album right now, hoping to have that out this year. Still figuring out how we’re gonna make it to Antarctica so we can be the first band to play all 7 continents.
What country have you not played in yet that you really want to? We’ve been meaning to go to China for a while. We’ve also gotten a lot of response from Indonesia and Malaysia over the years so it would be great to get to do that.

Do you ever plan out your stage antics? No, unless we have to buy hamburgers or build an air cannon. I like the idea of choreographically dances but its hard enough to song and play at the same time. I would love to learn how to do a back flip.
What are your favorite things to do at festivals?Meet famous people, make business connections, take advantage of the artist perks.
What do you like to do by yourself? Dance, eat candy, play with my puppies…
What is the grossest thing you ever did at a festival? Glastonbury. Everything.

What is one thing you want to say to Burger Records? Hey guys quit inventing all that technology -god

What is the best way to listen to your music, tape, vinyl or digital? I like them all. My hearing is so damaged from so many years of no earplugs that it doesn’t make much of a difference. I like convenience. Vinyl is cool.

What bands do you have crushes on? The Pandoras circa 1985, Elvis every era.

BLEACHED PLAY FRIDAY FROMĀ  1025-1105 @BURGERAMA

How is your tour going? Jessie: Tour is going awesome! We were in Europe about a week ago, now we are driving out to sxsw with some shows on the way …its crazy fun! Jennifer:I feel like I’ve been in boot camp.

How do you feel when you land back in California after being away for a while?

Jessie: There is for sure an immediate relieved feeling when we get back home, i feel like I think to my self…. Ok we all made it! The weather is usually so nice and sunny, I get to see my friends, sleep in my own bed, but you cant get too comfortable because we usually go back out on the road very soon after arriving home. I like the feeling of missing though because it makes me really appreciate those things. Jennifer: Yeah I totally get happy that no one died.
What is the grossest thing you ever did at a festival? Jessie: If I really did something that gross I probably purposely did not tell anyone or made myself forget it ever happened! Jennifer: I am definitely not telling you mine but it actually involves Bleach which is funny.
What was the most exciting thing about putting out your debut? Jessie: Going to Europe to do a small press tour! Jennifer: Playing the new songs and seeing people get excited over it.
What bands do you have crushes on? Jessie: I feel like my crushes are usually on metal bands with long hair that sound like Metallica Jennifer: I need a crush because I’m bored.
What is the best way to listen to your music, tape, vinyl or digital? Jessie: Vinyl! Vinyl is what I listen to most of my favorite bands on, its what I dj with, and justĀ  sounds rad! Jennifer: Vinyl because then you understand A side vs. B side. And you get cooler packaging to look at while you play the record.
What is one thing you want to say to Burger Records? Jessie: I would like to ask them a question like…. if you had one type of chip you could eat for the rest of your life, nothing else but that style chip… what would it be? Also that… we love you!!
Jennifer: Okay and I’ll add if you only had one single little chip to eat one last time would it be the same? And yeah we L U V you!

Small shows are always intimate, intense, and leave you with a good high. Name your favorite music festival and why? The local FYF Fest and Coachella have been great.Ā  One reason because I donā€™t go to many and Two from year to year they seem to have their ā€œfinger on the pulseā€ with what people are hoping to see for the first time and what they are hoping to revisit. What is the best way to listen to your music, tape, vinyl or digital? Vinyl is the best, Phil pops tapes into his car a lot, digital is convenient and can come in handy. Lovely Bad Things PLAY FRIDAY FROM 11-1130 @BURGERAMA

What is the grossest thing you ever did at a festival? Bare foot trips to the urinals and portapotties. And once Tim threw upĀ  all over the place at a festival next to some passed out dude and the guy woke up and ended up rolling all in Tim’s vomit. What has been your most exciting live performance so far? Honest answer and opinion hands down our favorite show we ever played was the very first Burgerama! We couldn’t have asked for a better show and it was completely perfect in our eyes. On top of it being an absolute blast! Tell us your craziest experience at a festival. All of us getting black out drunk in Spain at Primavera sound and waking up just in time to see Mayhem play. It was one of the most surreal frightening experiences weā€™ve ever had. There was a lot of flashes of fire and pigs heads on stakes it was waaaay to intense to watch while inebriated Hahaha. What bands do you have crushes on? We will always have the biggest crush on AUDACITY but we flirt from time to time with WYATT BLAIR, CHAD AND THE MEATBODIES, DIRT DRESS, CHERRY GLAZER and weā€™re in multiple open relationships with a bunch of amazing other bands but our old hang up list could go on and on and on šŸ˜‰ What band of this line up would you rather share the stage with? WE LOVE ALL THE BANDS ON THIS LINEUP!!! When is the next album coming up? We just released our second full length on February 26th! And its called ā€œthe late great whateverā€ but other than that after touring we plan to write a whole ton of new material and hopefully have a new record or EP out by early next year! If you had to choose, would it be to play in festivals/stadiums or small venues? Small venues! we love to be able to interact with the people coming to see our shows so the tighter or smaller the place the better! Its super fun to play anywhere but with HUGE venues it sometimes takes away the intimacy that we love as a band and the closeness we have with our fans. Name your favorite music festival and why? Does SXSW count? Because we loooooove playing and going to that! Its literally a non-stop party and the best time we ever have! And the total no-brainer of course is Burgerama!!!! Cause they is da best and shiieeet. What is the best way to listen to your music, tape, vinyl or digital? Easily vinyl always! Actually if you can get a hold of the reels that would technically be the best way to listen to our music. But an obvious close second is vinyl our tape for sure. What is one thing you want to say to Burger Records? We love them like family and that without them we wouldnā€™t have ever gotten off the ground in the first place. Weā€™re eternally grateful to everyone involved with Burger records and they all mean the absolute world to us! and THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING. oh and tell Bobby ā€œLETS GET DOWN TO BUSSINESS!ā€ Heā€™ll know what weā€™re talking about.

The Abigails PLAY FRIDAY FROM 915-10 @BURGERAMA

What is the grossest thing you ever did at a festival? at last years FYF fest the growlers said that i went on a crazy bender, then tried to come off it and chill out, but that my heart couldn’t handle it and i died. i was in the crowd and saw some people kinda freaking out. i didn’t realize i was so liked!! anyway, the rumor didn’t last too long and a few people confronted me after finding out it was BS and thought it was a pretty gross joke. i told them i didn’t have anything to do with it, but yeah, death jokes are apparently pretty gross. What has been your most exciting live performance so far? the first Burgerama was really sweet! the Fonda and the Filmore were super cool but the guys that work there are kinda lame. i wanna play a show at burger soon, its seriously always a really good time and usully its the smaller shows that are most memorable. however, I’m really lookin forward to Burgerama II and have visions of it epicness! Tell us your craziest experience at a festival. i played this festival in Dallas one time. we got there really early, kinda too early, and it was awesome! dude, i just used an oxford comma!! i also just figured out what that is!! its when you use a comma after ā€œandā€. what fun!! anyway, we get to this festival before almost everyone (no security) and all the beer tents are set up! there just so happened to be a shopping cart conveniently left right next to where we parked. lets just say we didn’t have to worry about beer for a long, long time. What bands do you have crushes on? shit, i guess i should mention that this is warren answering all the questions, so i can only speak for myself and all answers are of personal experiences. anyway, hmm…shit, should i really do this. im taking this question seriously, like, not what bands im into, but literally what chicks or dudes in bands i kinda, maybe have a crush on. ok, fuck it, here it goes…Amy Blaustein who plays with Sam Flax is a total babe! Amy, if you read this and you have a boyfriend or significant other or whatever, im sorry, i hope you don’t think of me as a full blown scumbag and are the smallest bit flattered. shit, Sam flax is a babe and remember dating this chick last year and her saying the same thing i i got totally jealous. Jamie Dutcher plays bass with Sam and has the best style and is tall and has long blonde hair and is the coolest guy ever…our drummer Shayda always talks about chilling out on the amount of sex she has been having, i hope she had sex with Jamie. if i was a chick or a fag id be sexting him right now! anyway,Ā  back to chicks…summer twins, yeah, total babes! Shannon Shaw (i love you Max Nordie), total babe! shit, i wonder who has crushes on the babes in The Abigails, they’re seriously really hot and i wont lie, I’ve totally thought about both of them while jerking off!! woops! When is the next album coming up? we just finished our new record!!! its called ā€œtundraā€ and its full of twanged out hits! im hoping it’ll see the light of day in the next couple months and of course we wanna put this one out with burger!! If you had to choose, would it be to play in festivals/stadiums or small venues? STADIUMS!! dude, picture me going off with one of those half mic stand things like Freddy Mercury!! ok, maybe i just picture myself doing that, but yeah, seems pretty mental! Name your favorite music festival and why? BURGERAMA is the coolest new thing and were totally stoked that we’ve gotten to be a part of the first two! also, BEACHGOTH was a total blast and i know the kids are looking forward to the next one and so are we!! What is the best way to listen to your music, tape, vinyl or digital? hey man, whatever floats your bot or finds your lost remote…were just stoked on people vibin out to our jams. i remember getting our tapes for ā€œsongs of love and despairā€ and thinking they sounded soo cool and ancient. but yeah, im into all formats of music and all is available, so yeah. What is one thing you want to say to Burger Records? hi guys, thanks for everything you do! its really cool to be a part of the burger family, to have released our album with you, to swing by and help put tapes together, to see how stoked you make soo many people! to have done ll the things we’ve done together so fr…cant wait to do soo much more! you guys are the best…
