Life is Beautiful: Artist Portrait Series
The Life is Beautiful festival took over downtown Las Vegas last weekend and injected an eclectic mix of bands, chefs, and art in a city mostly known for their giant megaclubs and roulette tables. We sent out photographer Mallory Turner to snag exclusives shots of some of our favorite artists at the three day festival and ask a few what, to them, makes life beautiful. Check out the photos below.
Catfish and the Bottlemen.
“We have five to six individuals at any one time that are actually friends, not put together, coming together to make music in a harmonious most wonderful way. We all smile at each other, we actually like each other. Someone falls down, we laugh at them, we help them up then we keep playing. That is beautiful to me.” – Jesse from Misterwives
“New York City is beautiful to us.”
“People are beautiful. Life is a giant party and everybody is invited. We’re all inclusive. That’s the message of all of our music – that everyone is included.”
“Beautiful to me is the chaos and reflecting on it, being able to go through something really hard or really tough and then survive and look back and reflect and be like, ‘man that was amazing.'” – Tony of Sleeper Agent
