Brooklyn-based Little Daylight rocked Los Angeles last week at the El Rey, providing an infectious assortment of pop songs for a perfect end of summer evening. Fronted by babe Nikki (whose last name is a mystery, like some magical nymph), she’s got all the moves required to front an artcentric indie pop band. Her vocals illuminated the intimate theater with warmth and invocation, harmonizing luxuriously with the gorgeous synth-laden musical palette of their recently released Tunnel Vision EP. Songs like “Glitter and Gold” and “Name In Lights” were presented with a sweet and effortless delivery that captivated the eager crowd. The audience continuously and enthusiastically embraced their short set, grooving along to the throbbing beats, especially on their closing song, “Overdose”. Ringing throughout the venue with the singer’s sugary and seductive “ooh oohs”, it perfectly decorated the song’s entrancing melody.

And now that Little Daylight has just announced their Tunnel Vision Remixed EP with a much darker remix of “Glitter and Gold” by Charli XCX, you just can’t complete your Monday without listening to this:
