If you were a fan of early Lady Gaga, than you will undoubtedly like rising pop songstress Ava Max — who in some instances could double for Lady Gaga’s younger sister. And if you love a slightly twisted love story gone wrong, you’ll love her new video for her single, “Sweet But Psycho.”
The video opens in black and white: a close up reminiscent of the Hitchcock film, “Psycho,” in which Ava watches her man kissing another woman. We then watch as he is invited into her pink cute AF cottage where we watch her go from jealous siren to glamorous serial killer bride — all while singing a pop tune you’ll likely be singing along with after just one chorus.
“Sweet But Psycho” is the perfect mix of “I hate you” and “I love you” vibes — which if you’ve ever loved anyone, you know that’s the realest kind. The tune was produced by GRAMMY® Award-nominated super-producer Cirkut (The Weeknd, Katy Perry, Rihanna) and co-written with Madison Love (Camila Cabello, Halsey).

The provocative companion visual for the tune was directed by Shomi Patwary, who you may know from work alongside Beyoncé, Major Lazer, and The Weeknd. Pop fans all over the world should definitely check this one out, as we can’t wait to see what kind of pop-world domination-antics Ava has up her sleeve for us next!
