Like a dusk set night in the far east, “Bullet” by 19 year old songstress Kyndall, will take you to a mysterious, delirious daze that is sure to leave your head tingling. The Sting sampled track features smooth vocals from the fiery-haired Houstonite over jazzy guitars riffs, distinct electro drums and a simple uncomplicated melody. This is a song that is perfect for sliding you feet around and letting your body succumb to the hypnotic melodies. The modern yet mellow R&B track is infused with sounds akin to Japanese folklore, you almost except to see Geisha’s dancing around the brooding and beautiful Kyndall, taking care of the proverbial bullet through her heart. Kyndall says of the tune:
“I grew up a huge Sting fan. My mom had him on repeat on every road trip and I remember sitting in the back seat listening to ‘Shape of My Heart’ and asking her to play it again and again. “Bullet” grew from wanting to pair with that classic, melancholy, guitar sample with lush, heart-break-y lyrics. It’s the only record on ‘Still Down’ with its own, swept-away kind of feeling.”
