Unarchived: Susan Cianciolo
When we got a chance to work with Cone Denim we jumped at it. The jean giant is one of the largest in the world and has such clients as Levi’s , Rag and Bone, and Republic to name a few. Based and founded in my hometown of Greensboro, NC, Cone has especially been a special staple in my fashion world. Susan as an artist and designer has also been a staple. Cianciolo’s aesthetics are inspirational, to say the least. I like to think of her style as a mix between the 70’s, the Dawn Of The Dead, and Parisian nights all mixed up in one pot. The ‘Woman of the Crowd’ collection by Susan Cianciolo is a special and lovely story that haunted our spread. When Cone commissioned Cianciolo to design one of a kind pieces made from old Cone denim saved from the turn of the 20th century in 2006, who knew that its inspiration and forwardness would be enjoyed for years to come. Well, I Ladygunn did. Ladygunn was lent the the exclusive pieces from this collection and the results were beautiful. Unarchived Susan Cianciolo was a dream come true.
