Last Tuesday, we ushered in the highly anticipated Frieze New York, in the enchanting ambiance of the renowned BOOM at The Standard Hotel for an extraordinary evening, known as the Ethereal Femmes Ball. The event was a spotlight on the remarkable work of genderqueer Chicago-based artist Caleb Yono. Collaboratively hosted by esteemed figures in the art world Jerry Gogosian and Silvana Lagos.  Produced by PURPLE PR the event united luminaries from the art world and creatives hailing from diverse backgrounds, resulting in a super fun party that celebrates the power of feminine energy within the trans and genderqueer community of NYC!
Esteemed individuals such as Lissy Von Schwarzkopf, DJ Katie Rex, Martha Luna and Cee Lo Green also graced the event with their presence, adding to the allure of it all!  The festivities began with a dinner at The Standard Grill, where guests relished in mouthwatering dishes accompanied by Ruinart champagne and Yola Mezcal cocktails. Upon my arrival, I was not sure what to expect. The opulent night resembled a mystical soirĂ©e, filled with fantasy.Everyone showed up in a stunning look, some with bright colored gowns, others had flower crowns very ala Midsommar.Â
Fairies and nymphs pranced around the dance floor as NYC femme icons DJs Juliana Huxtable, Dese, Jasmine Infiniti, and Archangel took turns spinning their trance-inducing mixes as we speared into the night!
