THE CAVE RELEASED BASS VERSION OF ‘FATHER’ WITH AI-GENERATED VIDEO

Julian Lamadrid is the man behind the project ‘The Cave,’ and he has just released the bass version of his song “Father.” But this is not just a track, it’s an experience. It resonates on a profound level, with Lamadrid’s ability to convey vulnerability and introspection in his music as a testament to his artistic abilities.

Father opens with a melody that immediately sets a disruptive tone. With the bass -obviously- as the protagonist, the track develops with ethereal synths, percussion, and electronic elements. The arrangement builds gradually, adding textures and sonic depth as the song progresses, culminating in a powerful crescendo that leaves a lasting impact. According to the artist, “The music itself is heavily influenced by Daft Punk, and thus it is fitting that this piece pushes boundaries by fusing music and technology, in the same way they have done for the past 25 years.”

The video, on the other hand, is a mesmerizing and thought-provoking visual journey that encapsulates the essence of introspection and self-discovery. This piece, created with AI, truly captures the electrifying and psychedelic nature of The Cave. The video effectively utilizes symbolic images. From close-ups of a playful and happy family on a sunny day, to snakes and surreal images of all kinds, the visual symbolism of the video enhances the emotional impact of the song.

Discovering the absence of musicians exploring AI, the artist sought out the expertise of an exceptional AI programmer and artist known as ‘Hueman Instrumentality.’ After a series of email exchanges, their shared enthusiasm led them to embark on this ambitious endeavor: crafting one of the pioneering music videos entirely generated by AI.

“I hope to inspire other artists to not fear AI, and rather begin to explore how by incorporating it into our work we can open up room for more unorthodox and revolutionary forms of art and expression,” Lamadrid said.

The Cave embarks on an audacious musical journey that blends rock and electronic elements with a dash of Daft Punk’s innovation and Pink Floyd’s artistry. The project’s name, paying homage to Plato’s Allegory of The Cave, encapsulates its underlying message of liberation—breaking free from societal norms and expected behaviors while escaping the entanglements of modern existence.

Julian’s solo career has witnessed numerous artistic triumphs, amassing over 30 million streams on Spotify alone. At the age of 20, he inked a record deal with Sony Music’s Arista Records and released two critically acclaimed conceptual albums: ‘Mala Noche’ in 2019 and ‘Rebels of The Neon God’ in 2021.

His single, ’15 Minutes,’ has garnered over 7 million streams across various platforms and amassed more than 300 thousand views on YouTube. Notably, it was featured in the synchronization for Disney+’s National Treasure: Edge of History. Currently, Julian has embraced independence, launching The Cave under his Brooklyn-based electronic record label, Mala Noche Records.
