DYLAN MATTHEW NEEDS TO TELL YOU TO “FYTY”

“‘FYTY’ was my angry moment of telling her that she sucks, and what she put me through sucked, but now I’m so much better off. It’s a cathartic release of saying ‘fuck you,’ but thanking her because what she did to me ended up being the best thing for me in the long run.”

Dylan Matthew vulnerably explains in his latest pop anthem FYTY. Dylan is a  storyteller at heart. For the Southern California native that means everything in his life can turn into a line of hum including the most painful parts.

Following his 2016 debut EP, Over You, listeners can hear Dylan go from bop to bop narrating his life in song. He scored his first Platinum-certified single with the viral dance hit “Love Is Gone,” which garnered millions of Spotify listeners and over 750K feverish TikTok followers. The artist took that success to stage performing at CoachellaLollapalooza, and a sold-out headline show at Avalon Hollywood in LA.

Seven years after his debut, Dylan enters a new era in music born amid an intense break-up that forced him to disconnect from the life he knew At the core of his personal journey is Dylan’s new music. Telling his story through universal narratives tied together with introspective and infectious lyricism is Dylan’s biggest strength.  It’s music that is primed to pull a catharsis spirit out of everyone who listens.
