PREMIERE: Andy Bell and Debbie Harry Unite for Synth-Pop Duet “Heart’s a Liar”

A bold collision of synth-pop brilliance and raw emotional energy, “Heart’s a Liar,” the electrifying new single from Erasure frontman Andy Bell, featuring none other than the legendary Debbie Harry, is a track that pulses with heartache, longing, and undeniable glam. Bell’s unmistakable vocals soar over shimmering production, while Harry’s haunting harmony adds a fierce, ethereal layer that elevates the track to iconic status. “Heart’s a Liar” is a dark disco confession—poignant, danceable, and dripping in style—reminding us that even in heartbreak, there’s beauty to be found on the dance floor.

Andy says, “Brad (Hammer) captured it very well, it’s kind of a fantasy of this person who’s so lonely in this luxury house that has everything, that could have been this kind of life that Debbie would maybe enjoy and we tried to channel that loneliness of what it’s like when you miss certain moments of a past love or that kind of connection…. It gave me this flavour of what it may have been like to be an old movie star of the past.”

“Heart’s a Liar” isn’t just a song—it’s a cinematic moment, drenched in nostalgia, longing, and glittering melancholy. With Debbie Harry embodying the allure of a bygone era and Andy Bell pouring his heart into every lyric, the track feels like a glamorous ghost story for the loves we’ve lost and the ones we still chase. It’s a reminder that even in our most opulent loneliness, there’s a rhythm that keeps us dancing, and a voice—maybe two—that knows exactly how we feel.
