Who can give better music advice than one of music’s biggest prodigies Nas. We were stoked when we asked him for some music recommendations and he gave us his top 10 legendary alums to start on. A Nas exclusive for LADYGUNN! Can Monday get any better?
In other Nas news and excitement, he has announced that his debut album, Illmatic, will be released as a special 20th Anniversary Edition, entitled Illmatic XX, on April 15th. This collection will feature rare remixes, never heard demos and freestyles. There will also be a tour to commemorate the release.
Says Nas, âWith Illmatic, I didn’t think about it. I just did it. I believe everybody has good instincts. Now Iâm a man from that past and I’m supremely grateful. There’s a Nigerian proverb âWhat is past is prologueâ. I’m here today because of Illmatic.â
Enjoy!
