Furry Fashion on a Disco Platform

Georgine, the eponymous label known for blurring the line between casual and formal did not stray this season from what has now been a tried and true formula of success for the brand. Blending the juxtaposition of tuxedos and bandeau tops along side almost nude models swathed in luxurious voluminous fur bombers, making this collection what will surely be a commercial success.

Lame in an array of hues from green, gold and bronze with jacquard fabrics were worn in the silhouettes of pant suits and minis alike, giving this seasons highly trended 70s a visible return to the forefront. Curley afros matched with platform shoes worn by all the beautiful moving mannequins gave full nod to studio54’s Bianca Jagger trademark style. Although the vintage inspiration was present, the hand painted velvet dresses and trousers most certainly kept the collection modern and chic.

Another season fan favorite that continues to be seen, were the shearling coats which were shown in an array of lengths and finishes including the aforementioned metallic sheen of lame, was right on trend and necessary to tie everything in an already cohesive collection. Although this designer is only in her mid twenties, her aesthetic is light years ahead of her counterparts. Her brand clearly influenced by time in her Monaco and Moscow boutiques, only adds to the luxury and panache that will forever be known as  Georgine.
