#NYFW Diary | Audrey Kitching @ Betsey Johnson SS16

This NYFW, Ladygunn teamed up with legendary footwear brand Steve Madden to curate a collection of #NYFW style diaries. We teamed up with a handful of our favorite influencers, sent them to some of our favorite fashion shows in cute new shoes and asked them to walk us through their experience. Here is the second of the series – check out the rest here.

Audrey Kitching is a model, fashion designer, writer and all-around It Girl. When she isn’t posting major eye candy on her Instagram, she is pedaling her personalized collection of spiritual goods.
“I hit up the Betsey Johnson show yesterday at the tents. It was my fifth Betsey show over the years—I interviewed her numerous times when I used to work at Spin Media as a Style Editor. She is quite the unique character to say the least and hasn’t changed a bit! The runway clothing was curated to showcase trends throughout the decades. My favorites without a doubt were the 60s mod looks (love me some Polanski & Sharon Tate ‘Vampire Killers’) and the 80s punk vibes (the looks were basically Catwoman meets Cherie Curie at her most angst-ridden). Betsey even ended the show with her signature cartwheel and Andy Warhol silver factory balloons… Of course, I expected nothing less.”

“Heading into the #NYFW tents to check out the always exciting Betsey Johnson show! I’m wearing Steve Madden GORGEOUS boots, a D&G outfit, and a DIY after-school project scarf, of course.”

Editor’s note: This is the most magical #shoefie we’ve ever seen.

“This season Betsey is all about that retro punk aesthetic. Can we talk about the clear leather jackets that resemble rain coats? I would like one in every color please.”

“It’s official: I need a dark pink striped suit.”

“Here is a selfie in a bathroom stall where I’m hiding from the #NYFW crowds basically.”
