AUNTY SOCIAL ON TOUR

April 23 – The Lounge at Live Nation, Toronto, ON

May 9th – 320 Fest at The Novo, Los Angeles

May 11th – School Night at Bardot, Los Angeles

INTRO: Hi! I’m Danny, a musician from Toronto under the name Aunty Social. I’m 24 and spend most of my time with my dog. I am terrible at introductions so let’s pivot this to my 7 favourite spots in Toronto!

Buddha’s Vegan Restaurant

666 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M5T 1H9, Canada

One of my favourite places to eat is a vegan restaurant called Buddha’s. I am not vegan, but my roommates are so I basically am by association. I’d probably pick eating there over a meat-based place for how good it is. The classic order is #52, #60, #63. shoutout Sammy!!!!!!!!

Trinity Bellwoods Park

790 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6J 1G3, Canada

Trinity Bellwoods Park is where my friends and I usually spend our summer days. We usually sit in the dog bowl and have some drinks while petting nearby pups. Now that we bring my dog with us, it’s not as weird.

Supermarket

268 Augusta Ave, Toronto, ON M5T 2L9, Canada

Supermarket in Kensington is the first venue I played at as Aunty Social. I’ve watched numerous friends play on that stage and it always ends up being a great show. It’s a great place for local shows.

Paul’s Boutique

69 Nassau St, Toronto, ON M5T 1M6, Canada

Paul’s Boutique, which is also located in Kensington, is where I’ve bought a lot of second-hand equipment for a decent price. They’ve got so many synths coming in and out and there’s always so much to dig into.

CREEPS

363 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON M5T 2G3, Canada

Creeps is a China Town gem. I bought my outfit there for the “Trying” music video.

Kensington Market

14 Kensington Avenue, Toronto, ON

Ever since I could remember going to Kensington Market, Courage My Love has always been a place I could spend hours exploring. I found the mint 50’s housewife dress, which I wear in my music video “Crack a Deal,” from there. So many oddities I never knew I needed were bought there.

BMV Books

(Multiple locations)

BMV is my haven. A 4-story bookshop that sells great quality, second-hand books for a third of the price. I live 5 minutes from there so I usually stop during my dog walk (they are very dog-friendly) and end up spending half my day there.
