Men’s Fashion Week in New York can be filled with the same nuisances that plague the womenswear collections.; too much embellishment, not enough wearable fashion. Ovadia & Sons was clearly the answer to that problem. A collection filled with staples and must haves comprised this seasons S/S2016 pieces.
Full of light airy knits in hues of red, black, white, and blue; accompanied by lightweight track pants and or washed denim. Every single piece was covetable- from the elongated anorak jackets to the floral mainstay pieces. There isn’t a piece that felt out of place or contrived. If I have any issue with this season’s offerings, it would be that some pieces resemble pieces already in rotation, but that in itself was the genius. Why buy another brands version of perfection when you can have ONE label that offers you a whole wardrobe.
While I’m not sure what’s next for Ovadia & Sons, I’m quite sure we are all in for pieces we may already have but still want more. Because we like it. And it’s consistent to it’s client: Real Men.
