There’s something undeniably refined about destruction—especially when it’s done with intention, precision, and a touch of whimsy. For FW25, Taottao takes a shredder to the past, then stitches it back together with a unique vision.
But at its core, Taottao is more than just a fashion brand. “Taottao is like a toy lab of subtle loudness,” designer Yitao Li , explains. “It’s colorful, but in an earthy way. It’s for someone who lets the clothes do the talking.”
For FW25, Yitao pulls inspiration from Victorian vintage fashion, but with a playful, cozy twist. “This year, it’s just more fun and mysterious,” she says. “All new fabrics, textiles, and a color palette that feels cozy and comfy.” Expect fragmented motifs that feel like they were ripped from a baroque psychedelic trip, patterns that melt like a second skin, and surreal silhouettes. There’s an unhinged elegance at play—a celebration of what happens when the past gets a makeover.
And when it comes to trends? Yitao keeps it simple: “I think the forever fashion trend is just be yourself. And for me, that’s always staying true to myself.”
With FW25, Taottao continues to carve out its space in fashion’s avant-garde, proving that beauty doesn’t always come in whole, unbroken forms. Sometimes, the most beautiful storytelling comes from the broken pieces that are put back together.
