From Cape Cod to Your Playlist: Grace Morrison’s “Beer in a Teacup” Is the Anthem We All Need

Grace Morrison has turned her quirks into a trademark and released her new single, “Beer in a Teacup. ” This track is a whole of attitude and promises to become an anthem for those seeking to embrace their imperfections.

“Beer in a Teacup” is the preview of her upcoming album, “Saltwater Country,” a tribute to her roots in Cape Cod and her heritage as a cranberry grower. “While the record explores growing up in a seaside tourist town, ‘Beer in a Teacup’ delves into accepting oneself—the single most important and difficult thing I’ve experienced in MY growing up,” she wrote in one of her latest posts on Instagram

Produced by Jon Evans, known for his work with Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan, the album is a charismatic blend of folk, country, and pop that reflects Grace’s unique essence.

The single is an ode to Grace’s grandmother, a woman who defied social conventions by drinking beer from a Victorian teacup with a saucer, unapologetically unconcerned with others’ judgments. The song captures that same carefree energy, inviting listeners to let go of doubts and insecurities and celebrate their quirks.

With twangy guitars, an infectious rhythm, and lyrics that blend humor and depth, “Beer in a Teacup” is a statement of intent: life is too short to worry about what others think.

“Saltwater Country,” her highly forthcoming album, transports listeners to the shores of Cape Cod, where Grace grew up surrounded by cranberry fields and the sound of waves. It combines the deep storytelling of country with the raw spirit of folk and the irresistible hooks of pop.

From the swampy “Poor Man’s Daughter,” a raw reflection on growing up with little, to the upbeat and catchy “Beer in a Teacup,” the album is an emotional journey that celebrates resilience, authenticity, and roots.

“Beer in a Teacup” is a life philosophy. Grace Morrison reminds us that it’s okay to be imperfect and different in a world that often demands perfection. With its mix of humor, twang, and powerful message, the single is a testament to what makes Grace Morrison a unique artist.
