R&B Montreal based singer Maryze releases her first video for her single “Soft” today. The song is produced by Jordan Esau. It’s a sensual and cinematic look at the singer singing and frolicking on the beach ever so gracefully. The video, directed by Amanda Louise Macchia, delves into the true aesthetic of the singer’s style, illustrating her softer side on a hazy afternoon day at the beach.
Maryze says that “Soft is about abandoning insecurities, reconnecting with your sensuality, and allowing yourself to be with someone entirely. It is connecting with another person, both physically and on a deeper spiritual level, has to begin in a place of self-love.”
Maryze has released her first EP called Like Moons this past year. The bilingual singer (She also sings in French) is a stunning throwback of what R&B should sound like. Check out the premiere of “Soft” below.
