TRACK PREMIERE: Brass Box- "Moonlight Desires"

Los Angeles dream-pop, goth rockers Brass Box are the perfect band to lull your Monday to an end. Today they premiere a cover of Gowan’s “Moonlight Desire” as an ode to one of the best/worst music videos the band has ever seen, as well as their breezy down-tempo take on the late-80s progressive rock hit.

What inspired you to cover this track?
The music video for Moonlight Desires is probably one of the best/worst music videos we’ve ever seen. After hearing the song I told everyone I know how great it was and no one actually cared. It was so disappointing. The music video is pure gold.
How do you feel brass box made it different from the original?
“Moonlight Desires” was featured in the Degrassi Jr. High TV movie School’s Out in 1992, our version will be in Degrassi Next Class. Just kidding, that is a lie. But both songs were recorded in Los Angeles, so we feel closely connected.
What are three things you want ppl to know about BB?
We are total health goths. Neil, Matt and Pablo have played in 3 other bands together. Ammo is an avid gardener. Bonus: Matt likes to dance to Kate Bush
