CLARA–NOVA has brought a shimmering light to the music world with her whimsical falsettos and beachy haunt rock. The French-American pop star’s foray into music has been full of accolades, interviews, millions of streams, and top plays on notable playlists. Her most recent EP, THE IRON AGE, was a swirling story of personal lessons in strength and determination while her soon to be released next chapter, THE GOLDEN AGE EP, delves into hopefulness.
“Lives” premiering today is a bright, synth-infused track that provides an antidote to what we all need right now, hope and understanding. “Our lives come together, our lives come together again ” she sings, waxing nostalgic about the cyclical nature of life and all its beautiful quirks.
CLARA–NOVA wrote “Lives” on a drive through the desert in a million voice note memos. She says, “The lyrics revealed themselves in broken fragments which I eventually sewed together to create the song. In a simple way, it is about meeting someone, parting ways and reconnecting when the “time is right.” On a larger scale, it is about life being less linear and more circular.”
