SHEARE’s got some heartbreaking issues on his latest single, and we can relate. On “Magazine,” the Brooklyn-based artist sings about a relationship that keeps finding its way back to his mental mailbox, despite canceling his subscription long ago.
“I wrote ‘Magazine’ about the initial infatuation stage of a relationship,” the singer-songwriter and producer shares of his glistening, bittersweet nostalgic synth-pop tune, premiering exclusively on LADYGUNN.
“There’s a point in every new relationship where you want to exist on an island with that person and stay in bed all day together listening to The Smiths,” he adds. “Ultimately once that relationship ends, you’re stuck still knowing everything about that person, almost knowing them better than they know themselves, even if they’re no longer a part of your life.”
SHEARE’s new EP, Music for Photo Booths, is due out early 2018. Listen to “Magazine,” below.
