“Hardwired” is a song that takes away all of your lonely. Finally, someone gets it. Knox is singing for all of us who have ever been considered too sensitive, too clingy, too aloof, too naive, too quiet, too…anything. She has found her way into the deepest parts of yourself and exposed everything with her soul haunting vibrato and pitch-perfect guitar sing-alongs. She showcases all in her Riverdale worthy video premiering today.
Hailey says, “‘Hardwired’ started out as an idea in my bedroom. I worry too much about other opinions and need to trust my own voice and speak up. âI struggle to speak cause Iâm always worried about what youâre thinking.â It makes me emotional just singing âHardwiredâ because of how vulnerable each lyric is. I feel like Iâm singing the notes jotted down in my journal. In the video you see me imagining things better than they really are and dazing off into my own world. I am with a group of friends but feel as though Iâm not really there and am too lost in my own thoughts.”
The songstress grew up with music around her. Her dad taught her how to play guitar and her family and  Ed Sheeran served as a source of inspiration. By the age of 12, she had a short stint with her sister as The Knox Sisters before she began posting solo videos, earning a large online following. The rest is yet to be told, but we are sure many will be following Hailey on her burgeoning career. She kicks off her first headline tour tomorrow in Philly. Check out her tour dates below.
