Spanish-Italian artist Nathalia Margot, a.k.a. TIT, is premiering her video for “Silk Bullet” exclusively on LADYGUNN today. The track, a grimy, sensual smoke-bomb of synth-pop, gets the lo-fi treatment with a hazy video inspired byErotica-era Madonna and glitchy 80s home-video VHS tapes. The voyeuristic clip perfectly captured the raw, dreamy eroticism of the song, which the artist describes as encompassing the ” feeling of being completely debilitated and liberated by someone at the same time,” naturally.
“The video was a collaboration with my close friends VOWWS,” Nathalia explains. “They are an incredible industrial pop duo that do all their own videos. I’ve always loved their aesthetic and work ethic and we’ve always wanted to create art together. As far inspiration goes, [the video] was inspired by a few things, mostly Madonna’s Erotica, boxing, and Downtown Los Angeles. We also made the video for zero dollars and did everything ourselves which is an important aspect of what we do. DIY and made with love!”
