Straight off the release of their EP Heartbeat, the band toured down the west coast from dates in Seattle through Los Angeles. The tour concluded with a special show at Hollywood’s The Peppermint Club in company with their tour mate Dylan Dunlap and his band.
Last month they released the double single, “Summer Days” along with “Freaking Out,” which dominated the viral charts and drilled its’ way down into people’s ears and into their hearts. This time, the guys are returning with a stellar visual to match the 80’s vibes of yet another earworm banger, “What She Wants,” a major throwback to the amazing 1983 dance film, “Flashdance,” featuring dancer Jessica Castro who has danced with Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Black Eyed Peas and appeared on TV shows like Glee and all the cool things!
Her name may not be a household one just yet — but TT The Artist has been here this whole time as our actual queen of Hip hop.
The song features next-level production, swiftly taking us into a post-skrillex era of electronic production that combines melodic songwriting with big hooks and big drops. His crooner-esque voice is so smooth, it’s likely what modern-day Timberlake wishes he could sound like — sorry, JT.
Des Rocs, aka Danny Rocco, is probably best known as one half of synth-rock duo Secret Weapons who toured with Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Weezer and more over the past few years. His new solo project explores a side of Danny that is more strictly rock — an amazing throwback and homage to Freddie Mercury and the fuzz boxy rock legends before him. Lead Vocalist Alexis Young says of the song, “‘Dark Place' speaks to the masochistic tendency of repeatedly making the same mistake and not understanding the compromising effects of that until it's too late. Sometimes you really need to have something completely fall apart and be destroyed before you are able to fully understand its value. It is the thrilling allure of pressing the self-sabotage button and watching what unfolds before you."
Beneath his charisma, attractiveness, and ukulele-punctuated love songs, Vance Joy is still aware that the sweet isn’t as sweet without the sour.
Just as you’d expect, Lil Aaron isn’t here for anyone who might have luke warm feelings about his music… “I don't want people to hear my music and be like, "Oh, I kinda like this." Either you love it or you hate it. I'll be the first to tell anyone I'm not for everyone. I'm a very vibrant energy, I guess. You can do whatever you want, but I think a lot of new people are gonna connect with this project.”
Phoenix-born, L.A. based songwriter Alec Benjamin’s video for his new single “Let Me Down Slowly” is a touching, soul-stirring ode to the romantic struggles we can all identify with.…
These exclusive photos were taken by the sister duo — with a disposable camera — and document their time on the road so far.
